There was a guy more recently that came out talking about building a Trump property a long time ago talking about Trump walking the site just inspecting and making sure progress was going as planned and saw him having a hard time without an extra hand measuring for a cut and Trump came over and helped him with the measuring tape so he could get the measurements right. If you read Don Jr's book he has the same stories saying his dad MADE him go to the work sites as a kid and spend time with the workers learning how to do a lot of the trades or at least understanding the hard work that goes into construction.
They are more everyman than 99% of the people in congress despite being billionaires.
