Thing is, the Constitution is pretty clear as to what precludes someone from running for office. That one party is butthurt about an opponent isn’t a legal reason.

Correct me if I'm wrong but STOTUS did the only immediate thing they could do which was to refuse to preside. There was nothing proactive they could do to shut this clown show of a hearing down.

No, it doesn’t.

The US Constitution already explicitly details the requirements to run for the Presidency and the restrictions which prohibit someone from doing so.

Congress can’t do shit to change that.
