Idk, there would be a lot of ill prepared people in the cold and unarmed or armed people who never had to really use their firearms. That, plus fires, riots, looting, lack of medicine and medical care, elderly not coping at all and mayhem equals a lot of death. Capable people mostly don’t know how to handle warlike or survival type conditions. Neighbors desperately trying to get food. It wouldn’t take long.
Oh, and I forgot one other critical thing. No clean drinking water anywhere. No water, no sanitation, just unimaginable suffering, dehydration and disease.
I agree but it depends on the location. I just got a phone alert in MN that there’s a wind chill of -50 tomorrow. My furnace is gas, but that’s cars won’t even start weather. I wouldn’t have much faith in Minneapolis pulling through.
90% in one month is not a reasonable estimate. 40% in a year might be more accurate there are lots of capable folks out there.
