It's weird riding the bus these days, everyone (self included) has their phones. Occasionally I see someone reading a book. The only people who are unplugged seem out of place.
That would be me I guess. It helps, a lot. No smartphone, no internet usage except controlled when I'm out (and signed into my ipad on wifi). I don't have to have a phone or a device attached to my hand. It's easy to go out and enjoy nature. My eyes sadly don't let me read a book much anymore :( I haven't watched TV/Movies in years. Never owned any streaming service, never shopped on Amazon, always local, and never posted much on social media either. Now I'm kind of aware that it's saved me from the brainwashing. It's quite strange.
I think that's how I was so easily to see what was going on/what was wrong in 2016 and could easily pivot over to Trump.
I just signed up with a group that sends a list of birthdays of senior citizens living in old folks' homes; out of that list you can send hand written birthday cards, stamps, US Mail. Love.
I think that will be the best thing ever. We can take our heads out of our phones and our tech and live again!
Granted, I'm already doing that, but it'll be nice to have everyone else doing that too.
