They do not look for alternate sources of information, they do not go to direct sources, and they sure as shit don't read the Mueller report and actually sit down to think about what it says.
These people still believe in the russia hoax, they still believe the "very fine people" hoax, and they still believe that Trump is literally worse than Hitler because that is what the news has told them and their conditioning to just take what the news says at face value ensures they will never EVER double-check with first hand sources to verify that what they are hearing lines up with the truth.
Their main problem is that they think the government and their favorite politicians never lie. And a lot of them think stuff like “truth is subjective” so just believe whatever you feel like, with an emphasis on the “feel” part.
A bunch of people also seem to have this automatic memory hole where they just forget what suddenly changed about recent history. That makes it hard to tell that you were lied to in the past when the story mysteriously changes.
