Serious question: If they knew this would fail, why did they impeach? Was it for the libtards, was it to "hurt Trump", was it to keep us distracted whilst Biden wrecks our country with endless EOs? Was it to stay busy to avoid doing real work? Something else?

TDS, and they think just because the House "impeaches" that they can "still say he was impeached". Thats not how it works. If the Senate does not convict, its like it never happened. The "impeachment" is stricken from the record and not official in any way

that's not true at all. the process itself is called impeachment, outcome notwithstanding. if it is officially initiated, then that person is impeached. that's why we say clinton was impeached. the process was initiated and he was acquitted. it is not stricken from the senate or house records in any fashion. it's like saying someone was tried. innocent or guilty, they were still tried. it makes no implication on outcome.
