I doubt they're stupid enough to imagine that if the US goes down the world doesn't go down. I assume they understand what nuclear missiles are. Do you imagine they're so rich that they won't mind total nuclear war?
I don't think it'd take all that many nuclear missiles to completely destroy the world. We probably almost destroyed it with our testing of them. There are no safe spaces.
Pakistan has nukes. It's amazing they haven't fired any off. Maybe their leaders got paid to not do so, but they seem to be a hairsbreadth away from being overthrown.
