True. Hitler never equivocated about what he was doing.

The only thing they do is call people Hitler.

It's intellectually lazy. It operates out of the assumption that muh fascism is muh right wing ideology.

I have always wondered why they consider fascism an ideology of far right. Fascism was an anti-capitalist, statist, progressive (from the point of view of someone from the early 20th century), pro-paganist ideology and many of its leaders were ex-socialists (Mosley, Doriot, Mussolini, etc). The only thing it shares with the right is nationalism and anti-communism.

In addition, they did not consider themselves to be on the right: "Our programs are definitely the same as our revolutionary ideas and they belong to what in the democratic regime is called" left "; our institutions are a direct result of our programs and our ideal is the State of Work. In this case there can be no doubt: We are the working class fighting for life and death, against capitalism. We are the revolutionaries in search of a new order. If this is so, invoking help from the bourgeoisie by waving the red danger is absurd. The real scarecrow , the real danger, the threat against which we fight non-stop, comes from the right. We are not interested in having the capitalist bourgeoisie as an ally against the threat of the red danger, even in the best of cases this would be an ally unfaithful, who is trying to make us serve his ends, as he has done more than once with some success. I will save words as it is totally superfluous. In fact, it is detrimental ial, because it makes us confuse the types of authentic revolutionaries of any hue, with the man of reaction who sometimes uses our same language. " Benito Mussolini, Milan, April 22, 1945

I'd bet a lot of Democrats wish that he'd have won now, he'd have delayed the reckoning for awhile.

We would still be wondering why the Republicans won't do anything. Trump showed us the why.
