IMHO, this acquittal is a sham, It's designed to make you forget about all the RINOS who stabbed Trump in the back on Jan 6

This way, during the next election cycle, they can claim that they honestly believed that Trump didn't win, but that they are on Trumps side because they voted to acquit him.

Its deeper than that. Its an actual dog whistle to the states to investigate trump and his family for anything the can.
