Yep. The Christmas thing can be reasonably argued and all that, but there is a lot there if you’re being honest about the origins of customs. Though some of the customs are much older than any given belief system. Evergreen decorations being one of them. But that date? December 25th. Not originally a Christian holiday. It’s easily researched that the Roman Catholic Church pulled it into their system to convert the masses. Ain’t no one that wants to give up Christmas and they knew that then.

I didn’t keep Christmas from twelve to twenty one. Now I just don’t think God cares. Could be wrong since I ain’t God.

But we should be able to discuss without people getting their backs up. But people are weird about Christmas. Been my experience, they love the holiday more than any given truth. It gets a lot of people through the winter. A very depressing time.

Yeah it was originally celebrating the sun or something like that I think.. I looked into it a while back I can't remember exactly what I learned but it made me reconsider Christmas. I think it should be fine for people to gather with their families and be grateful for God's gift to humanity. It's just that the holiday itself was completely made up by people like us, never was mentioned in Scripture. And there's a lot of greed and envy surrounding it nowadays. And like you said people are attached to the idea and I understand why but they really shouldn't put these types of things before God and the Bible.
