Honestly, this is one thing that infuriates me the most - ‘elected’ officials dictating firearm legislation when they’ve never shot a gun in their lives.
You know what pisses me off? Jumping through goddamn hoops to legally and responsibly own a firearm to protect my family. Standing in line OUTSIDE in 19 degree weather at the DMV for hours to fill out a form for a permit, getting printed and going into a federal database (that will end well). Taking an 8 hour class, paying hundreds in fees. Then ghetto rats just pick one up off the street for $50 and go on a murder spree and we need legislation to make it harder for ME to own a gun. Fuck this system.

I’m in MI and buying firearms here is fairly painless.
I understand what you’re saying though. Even the ‘fairly painless’ is an infringement, IMO.
