You can’t reach out and touch someone with a shot gun, you can with a rifle. You all know that. You can saw off a double barrel 12 gauge for close in defense. Snake shot does wonders. But I tell you I’m a firm believer in having a rifle, a shot gun, and a couple decent pistols.

I'd add a decent mid-length ar/ak pistol (8-10 inch barrel) into that. Easier to use in a vehicle with a can on it.
