After the inevitable acquittal of the 45th President, the forgotten people who came out in never imagined numbers in 2016 to give a shellacking to establishment candidate and a self, appointed uni-party saviour Hillary Rodham Clinton are back at a new crossroads or more likely a fork in the road.
Most of the unwisely named Deplorables post November 3rd 2020 experiencing the same kind of stinging disbelief those liberals huddled together inside the Javits Centre in NYC were experiencing on the same night back in 2016. The prevailing wisdom then… how could it have happened? Our basket of deplorables were now screaming up at the sky. Shock then quickly turning into raw, but righteous anger. Unlike the young new voters who saw Hillary Clinton as stunning and brave, studiously avoiding the reality she was a terrible candidate who ran a third, rate campaign rightly losing to a far better outlined message from the GOP candidate Donald John Trump, our voters saw a pitifully feeble candidate mumbling, stuttering, barely leaving a Delaware basement. Losing to that guy is a real moment worth cursing the sky above and the base of MAGA is still reeling from it. Most know a victory claimed by Joseph Biden was not on the up and up, but be that as it may, its him and his leftist enablers who have turned the Capital into America’s newly minted Green Zone. Not the actions of the justly elected.
The acquittal of our former President at the Democrats second, peevish impeachment attempt in eleven months, is actually a starting gun being fired for both 2022 and 2024. The fork in the road mentioned in the heading of this thought piece. Which path do we choose, GOP or Patriot Party? 45 is unusually tight lipped on this but tossing out a few breadcrumbs for those trying to read between the lines as to his next moves. MAGA is far from finished! Were, his words not ours. A shot in the arm for me at least. Given the complexity of America’s political landscape (I’m a Brit… so indulge me) I’m thinking a gutting out and vengeful realignment of the Republican Party is exactly what is needed at this moment in time and is the true ambition of our Emperor in Floridian exile.
As much as forming a new Patriot Party would be perfectly in keeping with the evolution of the Nation post 1776 and about as American as it gets. We the people drawing a line in the sand, saying no more, but it just isn’t feasible. Far better to be a world champion boxer who lost their crown, but instead of beating themselves up (which we are) much more worthwhile to hire a brand, new trainer. Study where it all went wrong. Take the loss painful though that may be and return to take back what is rightly ours. Back to the grass roots… Remove all the deadwood and there is plenty of that to go around. Enough to fire up a bonfire several City blocks in size.
One thing I see in Donald John Trump that marks him out as a true leader, is his ability to bounce back. Its champion DNA which runs in his veins. We need to coalesce around a new message that if we were able to form one would be the manifesto of The Patriot Party. No Uni Party politics as usual. No globalist appeasement. Section 230 exemption removed from every tech oligarch unwise enough to deny service or to make editorial edicts. A massive job lies ahead but no more or less than the founders faced. So, I say completely reform the GOP, a logical, and achievable ambition which by its new ethos would be seen as an America First Patriot Party anyway, with MAGA at its masthead…
