Every day that goes by the more attractive "all cops are criminals" is. Cops are complicit in this political intimidation by not knocking down doors and marching these people through the street. If the response is that they can't do anything because they'll get fired, that is even more of a reason to tear down the entire structure. Communities need to protect themselves, whether from citizens violating laws or from an oppressive government with a monopoly on the use of force weaponizing the police against a compliant populace.
