They don't care. The people making these decisions do not have the company's best interest in mind. They are there to use their position in the company to spread an ideology. If it wreck s the company, they move on to another company, where woke executives are setting up another enclave to do the same, over and over again.

That's a fact. I know they don't care one bit, but I do want them to be aware of why I'm leaving them. I doubt Chewy will see a large scale boycott, but some of our boycotts worked great. Like Dicks for example. They didn't cave to us at all, but pissed off investors when they doubled down on virtue signaling over profits.

EDIT: One thing Trump could easily do that would start a huge movement in USA, is to endorse major boycotts of large American companies.

His request alone would ensure losses for many companies if he personally asked people to boycott certain businesses, and purchase from approved businesses.

For me it's about not giving money to fucked up companies. Whether it damages their business or not is irrelevant to me as long as I'm not contributing to support their shitty ideological activism.

As soon as I found out that Chewy stopped selling MyPillow pet beds for obviously leftist political reasons, I canceled our account with them. I also immediately ordered two large dog beds directly from MyPillow, because I had no idea that they even made pet beds.

This is the way. People use the ‘I’m just one person, I can’t make a difference’ excuse, whether subconsciously or directly, to avoid having to do anything at all. As much as I stay away from cliches or tired quotes, ‘be the change you want to see in the world’ is our ethos and what we teach to our children.

Yes, you are just one person. So you don’t have to worry about changing the world, or going out and protesting in the streets. All you have to do is support the things in life with which you agree, and not support the things with which you do not. Your conscience / karma is clear and you place in faith your hopes that the world will follow along.
