The only hole in this thinking is that there are social media platforms out there which would guarantee President Trump the reach he is now lacking. I suspect Gab would be happy to have him on their platform, for example.
As long as that option exists and hasn't been taken, I don't think we can chalk this one up to the military and military profiteers fighting a political war over funding.

I don't believe it's safe from bad actors either, but it is at present an avenue that exists. Unless Torba is actively discouraging Trump from establishing a presence on his platform, and I can't see a reason for a man with balls that huge to do that, that'd be the logical move to make, at least as I see the situation.
