Leftist gun grabbers maintain there are NO good people with guns. Every single gun owner is a potential shooter, a criminal-to-be, just because they have access to guns. They know criminals won't give up guns, but pretend they will.
The grabbers believe law-abiding citizens will turn in their guns if ordered to do so, and less guns "out there" is inherently good. Also, their knowledge of "scary" assault weapons is based on Rambo-style movie bullet-hoses. They have no direct knowledge, just what they see in movies and TV, and hear from talking heads on TV (who also know nothing).
Funny story, in Australia we had a gun buy back after our first and only mass shooting (the port aurther massacre) semi auto were banned and the government bought them back off the citizens no questions asked.
That same week there was national shortage of pvc drain pipe and end cap fittings......
If I was an American gun owner right now I'd be investing in some pvc drain pipe, end cap fitting, cling wrap and planning a boating accident.
