This reminds me of a theory Tom Clancy had that liberals tend to be much more hawkish (and for pure ego reasons) than conservatives on foreign policy matters because of some insecurity/feeling like they are perceived as weak.
Anyone remember how Tulsi Gabbard singlehandedly nuked Kamala's campaign after pointing out her abysmal record on this? Yeah. And this is who the left elects.
I'm not going to check, but I'm betting someone on there is making the conclusion that Dem Governors just need to win by larger margins so they can create a better society and that close republican minorities put pressure on democrat leaders that pushes them to do it to counter attacks of being "soft on crime."
hot take but I think a place where a dem wins by a thin margin means its a place in decline but the rule of law is still a voting issue so they burn the $$$ to stay in office. it's a function of the place turning into a shithole but there's still some rule of law
I really dig how the conversation on r/science is essentially “how is this the republican’s fault”.

Queens tended to be more bellicose when they were in charge.
Explain Dubya and his quicksand quagmire that we keep putting teens in to this day? Dubya was a Hawk too, and he's conservative.
Still applies cause Dubya was an insecure loser
Look at all the removed conversations.
Surprised it didn't get banned.

Hypocrites.
How on earth did that not receive millions of downvotes is beyond me!

I don’t even want to go read that because it’s all going to be “but muh republicans are fascists”.

always a chicken egg thing isn't it?
do dems cause shitty places or do they thrive in shitty places? which comes first and how often?
What does this have to do with r/science though? Good to see that this post didn't get taken down on there though!
