Saturday flew home, topped off my car Saturday night for under $2/gal. California's gas tax is so high it's insane, and now they're saying they need a new tax because of all the electric vehicles that don't pay gas tax, but the new tax won't apply to just people that own electric cars, it'll apply to everyone.
Oh, it was close for a little while here in Cali. I think the highest we got was around $5.45. The last 4 yrs have been the cheapest gas we have had in a decade at least. At one point we actually got under $2 bucks last year during the oil crises. Wasn't a crises for me.
Same in the oilfields in NE Colorado, I was paying $1.69 at most in October, but now it's $2.09 cheapest and most is $2.19
It's going to get bad unfortunately, I expect inflation and I expect gas to have the market drive it up due to the limits of federal government on oil production.
