That will not work. The rural population will not surrender their arms nor let the Constitution be trampled on. No Sheriffs Deputy will go door-to-door trying to take guns. They know 1. It's against the 2nd Amendment 2. It's against their oath to uphold the Constitution 3.It's a death sentence.
In the city however, people will probably fold but that doesn't matter since unregistered weapons are pretty available.
But they will drive the community into hiding. You wont be able to go to a range and go shooting, wont be able to buy ammo, and the second you defend yourself with an AR, they will arrest you.
That's the goal. Make teh community die out quickly without a fight.
Every gun owner that I know is well versed with their weapons and are all about ammo conservation. I have faith in the very based Sheriffs and their Deputys in my area. They're good, down to earth guys/gals that understand that they are in a position to protect/serve the people. Not politicians. They won't give up their weapons to the government and they'd never try to enforce that nonsense on us.

Remember that hunters wait/practice all year with their preferred hunting weapons to hunt for a couple weeks for animals that can hear them walking a mile away and smell where they've been days after the hunter has left. Hunters spend thousands of dollars on weapons, camouflage, equipment, etc to hunt animals. You think a UN troop is going to be as elusive as a 10 point buck?

Youll have a warrant filed for your arrest for not complying, then the first time your out on the road and state trooper scans your plate, youll be taken to jail, THEN they'll come take your guns.
