The trick to a good loaf of bread is to cook it in a Dutch oven. And you can’t use bleached flour. Buy whole wheat flour. Use a scale to measure the ingredients. For every 100 grams of whole wheat flour, use 70 grams of water. To make a starter, mix the flour and water in a jar, and leave it on the counter for 12 hours. Then add some more flour and water to feed the yeast culture.
Yeah if they start paying these waiters, waitresses, bartenders, etc. $15 an hour there is no way I am tipping in addition to the inevitable price raise .
I normally tip because most wait staff only make a pittance otherwise ($2.75/hr is common in/around Portland.) If they're pulling in $15/hr, and I'm paying higher prices for that meal because of it, then fuck that.
Might even not bother eating out as much, given that the cost of everything will go up as a consequence...
I am sure it is an incentive for people to pay the monthly subscriptions. I also think it is ridiculous that take out personnel at restaurants expect the same tip amount as if you were being waited on for an hour for the same meal. They literally check the order and put it in a bag. Maybe make a salad.
I live 20 miles from the nearest town of any size whatsoever. I live well over 50 miles outside of the nearest metro area.
...so what is this Doordash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub thing you speak of?
(I know what they are, but they definitely do not come out this far into the sticks. Hell, we couldn't get pizza delivery out here even pre-covid. Closest I can get is to bring home some Papa Murphy's and bake it myself. Funny enough, they do have Doordash drivers in the little town nearest me; but no way they're gonna drive all the way out here.)
You can buy a crock pot, and some food, and make your own.
Never exchange money for intelligence. Use the intelligence and keep the money.

Good thing I’m not a lazy ass and I can make my own food.

Remember every DOORDASH delivery supports Bubba Wallace.
Yeah idk what happened just went to use doordash today and all the places that usually have free delivery are up to $5-10
NASCAR and Bubba Wallace happened.
My neighbors have McDonald's delivered. The delivery is so much more than the cost of the meal. How lazy can you be.
