I've repeatedly referred to Algebra as "baby's first logic course", and that's usually the point at which you start being able to tell who really has a brain, and who is just really good at parroting what the schools want you to say.

I have to admit, I dipped out about that point on math, so I didn't quite reach the point where I could fully decipher some of my father's notes from his time in college where he spent pages proving that 2+2=5.
You have to account for actual value vs true value and then future value and inflation. All of this is made up assumptions so the math really is whatever you want it to be
