Because he fucks up every single time a camera is on him and he is trying to hide fuel for his opponents as much as possible. He doesn't want what was done to Trump done to him by smarter and more angry people.

This allows his supporters to see "nothing wrong" and get in a mind set that "all is good" the orange man twitter taught me to hate is gone you can rest you rainbow hair in easy.
