NOTHING you can say will be beneficial to you. Not one thing, no matter how innocuous and truthful it seems.

Did you all learn NOTHING from General Flynn?

Here is one (very simple) way this can go down:

FBI: So were you at the Capitol building insurrection?

Pede: No, I never was there.

FBI: Well we know you were with some of the rioters that broke through the gates, so why don't you just tell us about that?

Pede: No, I wasn't ever around them!

FBI: You're sure you were not at the Capitol building and that you weren't with the people that broke in? You really don't want to tell us the truth? We know you were with them.

Pede (angry and frustrated): No! I told you I never was around them!

What you don't know is that three of the individuals who have been charged with breaching the Capitol building stayed in the same hotel you did, and were at the same coffee shop, and cell phone triangulation along with Google maps data shows you in the same location at three different times.

You have now made (multiple times) a statement of fact which will be presented as a material misstatement to a Federal agent, which is a felony.

It doesn't matter what you THINK you said, or how you meant it, or what you think they actually meant. What matters is WHAT WORDS THEY USED, and WHAT WORDS YOU USED.

Take a look at Martha Stewart, or General Flynn, and many others people just from the witch hunt. Many of the convictions the DOJ gets are nothing to do with the crime. They are convictions for lying to a Federal agent.
