After my mother died my father married a money grubbing gold digger and one afternoon my dad and I were talking about the wonders and benefits coming from our space program and she walked in to tell us that the space program was a wast of money because people right here in America were starving.
There were nine of us children and I was a what Jung would label a intuitive introvert. (ps: I didn't like her). Any way daddy sat there quietly probably thinking "crap - she caught me".
After a few minutes I decided to speak up. I told her: the space program is creating thousands of good paying jobs, whole new industries, new products and especially medical devices. It is not as if they are loading gold bullion on to a fire cracker and shooting it into outer space.
I can still see the surprise in my dad's eyes and then her surprise when a heartbeat later he said "yeah !".
Come to find out most of her whole family was on the dole. And worst of all to realize 60 years later that She/They Won.
I keep saying I'm glad the generations before me aren't here to see this. My grandparents especially. They didn't fight on WW2 to let this happen to the country they loved. Makes me very angry but really sad more than that.
I've been thinking the same. My mom, my grandparents, though I miss them dearly are not here to suffer under this tyranny. I wish they were still here but they had good lives and deep down I'm a little glad they are not having to deal with all the bullshit.
If math is so racist and difficult for colored then why do Asians and Indians do so well? I think every advanced STEM class I took in college was taught by an Indian grad student. Let's just accept the fact that some people are not good at math and do not belong calling themselves educated but do belong shoveling our ditches. If basic math is too racist for you to learn to add and subtract then we do not want you here unless you want to work a shovel 40 hours a week.
