Estimates are that at the peak of slavery in the US approximately 1.4% of American's owned slaves. With European immigration after 1860's the aggregated average percent of lineage white Americans have from slave owners is likely under 1%. Children from slaves and owner families was not uncommon. Just a sad fact. It almost certain that the average Black in the US has more slave owner ancestry than the average white in the US.
