Immediately banning guns, trying to add more states, removing walls (except in DC)
The left don't waste a second when they have power. If Trump has been able to move even 20% fast as the left are, we could have been in a great place
If the right can ever take power back, I hope they will act with the same sense of urgency
As for why the left acts the way it does, they’re authoritarian collectivists with a herd mentality just like communists and fascists. Of course the modern left is sort of like a moderate communist-fascist hybrid that is becoming increasingly more authoritarian and extreme.
In some countries the right wing (traditionalists) would also be authoritarian collectivist (like Islamic parties such as the ikhwan) but in this country the right is highly unusual because it’s based on liberal individualism, not some sort of traditional authoritarianism like monarchy etc. The right wing in this country is actually to the left of the left wing circa 1776.
Paradoxically, the liberal individualists are going to have to get more collectivist about supporting individual rights or they’re going to lose them. And to do that people are going to have to continue to disregard all the divide-and-conquer stuff about race etc.
