As a Texan it’s fucking embarrassing and pathetic.

7
QSWO1 7 points ago +7 / -0

Half of Texas is illegal so its not constitutional.

5
Brickwell 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nor Florida. At least in FL is easy to get a CWP.

2
SpaceballsThePede 2 points ago +2 / -0

Doesn't Florida have strict open carry laws as well?

3
idislikecheesepizza 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think you can only open carry when going to and from hunting, fishing, or camping, or if you a law enforcement officer.

1
richgoose 1 point ago +1 / -0

also to and from the range, and on your own property. But yea, we need open carry.

1
unashamed 1 point ago +1 / -0

Unless the law changed the last I checked, you can’t actually open carry to and from a range in FL. Even when fishing or camping, you’re likely to be harassed by local law enforcement. Fisherman in Miami have been arrested multiple times for “disorderly conduct” for simply having sidearms while casting out from a public dock. I’ve even seen a video where an FWC officer had to certify to the local cops that a man wasn’t breaking the law for being armed while fishing the ICW. The local PD still trespassed him from the public park, smh

richgoose 2 points ago +2 / -0

(h) A person engaged in fishing, camping, or lawful hunting or going to or returning from a fishing, camping, or lawful hunting expedition; (i) A person engaged in the business of manufacturing, repairing, or dealing in firearms, or the agent or representative of any such person while engaged in the lawful course of such business; (j) A person firing weapons for testing or target practice under safe conditions and in a safe place not prohibited by law or going to or from such place; (k) A person firing weapons in a safe and secure indoor range for testing and target practice; (l) A person traveling by private conveyance when the weapon is securely encased or in a public conveyance when the weapon is securely encased and not in the person’s manual possession; (m) A person while carrying a pistol unloaded and in a secure wrapper, concealed or otherwise, from the place of purchase to his or her home or place of business or to a place of repair or back to his or her home or place of business; (n) A person possessing arms at his or her home or place of business;

from FL statues 790.25 (3). (j) confirms you can take your rifle to and from the range without fearing open carry violation. (n) affirms your right to open carry on your own land

ahh, thank you, sir! I once mentioned the target shooting exception to a friend, and he vehemently told me it wasn't true. I took his word for it and never thought twice. Now he's a LEO, lol

I follow a guy on Youtube that does this and watched that video. It was disturbing.

Nor Montana.

3
RandArrow 3 points ago +3 / -0

Texas is more about rifles. We got open carry long guns here, without a permit. Don't need reform as much. Plus, had CCL and OCL for a while.

Still, would be nice....

42
Isaiah53 42 points ago +42 / -0

In Tennessee, you don't need a gun permit to buy any gun. Nor do you need a background check if you buy privately (gun shows). Nor is there a waiting period.

You can open or conceal carry any shotgun or rifle without a permit. You only need a concealed carry permit for pistols. Even then, you are allowed, without a permit, to keep a loaded gun in your car, which is considered an extension of your home in this stand-your-ground state.

You can carry a pistol (outside of your car) without a permit as long as it is not loaded...for transport purposes. Which leaves a LOT of wiggle room for carrying.

Just don't be a spouse-abuser or a felon, and you can pretty much carry anywhere.

13
complythis 13 points ago +13 / -0

now when u say felon.... do u mean in the eyes of civilized society or in one of all the cockamemie ways the government draws up to create that label for an individual?

7
Isaiah53 7 points ago +7 / -0

Certain viokent crimes for which you have been found guilty in a court of law.

10
catvideos3 10 points ago +11 / -1

In many places felon means you possessed a substance when you were young and stupid.

6
yurimodin 6 points ago +7 / -1

GOP needs to learn that opposing weed is a lose lose. EVERY TIME weed is on the ballot the dems win(that's how MI got Whitmer)

3
catvideos3 3 points ago +3 / -0

Drug prohibition is nothing a small government ideal

-2
NotAPuma -2 points ago +1 / -3

I mean, Democrats want Weed to numb voters to the things happening around them. Less "Worldly" Awareness.

I much rather an intelligent voter than a dumbass voter.

7
richgoose 7 points ago +7 / -0

weed doesnt make you stupid. many intelligent people smoke. stupid mouth breathers who give pot the negative image would be stupid mouth breathers without the weed

-1
NotAPuma -1 points ago +0 / -1

Forgot the Capitalizations, and your Source for that.

0
complythis 0 points ago +1 / -1

is this a viokent judge? viokent jury?.... which D.A and did he take soros money...? asking for 75%

3
Farage_massage 3 points ago +3 / -0

It should be a violent FELONY. Someone that got pinged for Tax evasion or aiding a robbery because their son stayed at their house whilst wanted by the police etc should NOT be restricted from the protection of the 2nd amendment.

1
unashamed 1 point ago +1 / -0

In many jurisdictions, even a misdemeanor punishable by more than 1 year in jail counts the same as a felony in stripping your right to self-defense.

10
PieceOfParchment7 10 points ago +10 / -0

You only need a concealed carry permit for pistols.

Infringement.

4
MagaMan1776 4 points ago +7 / -3

Infringe : act so as to limit or undermine (something); encroach on

Is there a limit on where/when I can carry my gun? Is there a limit on how many rounds I can buy? Is there a limit on anything related to acquiring, owning or carrying anything related to firearms or firearm ammunition? If so, the second amendment has been infringed.

3
PieceOfParchment7 3 points ago +4 / -1

The fact that you thought you had to include the definition means you are a lefty trying to make a stupid point.

I do not believe that you are allowed to violate the constitution.

If you want to amend an amendment then get to it but deciding to make laws that INFRINGE on the constitution is unlawful.

Of course I don't want my neighbor having a bazooka but I also don't want them saying terrible things.

The problem is I believe in freedom.

3
MagaMan1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think you should read my comment again. I'm agreeing with you.

1

Apparently facts mean your a liberal, try again!

1
Isaiah53 1 point ago +1 / -0

You can open carry.

I think cops take issue with the meth dealers concealed carrying.

3
glow-operator-2-0 3 points ago +3 / -0

Tennessee - the great state that birthed Bettie Page.

3
concealedaces 3 points ago +3 / -0

In Kentucky you can carry concealed any firearm and do not need a license to do so.

3
macabeed 3 points ago +3 / -0

We are close to passing constitutional carry in Tennessee. Our governor and General Assembly is pushing for 2021.

15
E-dantes 15 points ago +15 / -0

Careful about Arkansas. Our current governor is Walmart funded and a big government rino. The current "constitutional carry" is based on a current loose interpretation of one word in an old law. That word: journey. No one is sure of what actually constitutes a journey as far as state law is concerned.

4
notCIA 4 points ago +4 / -0

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"

Get rekt, wheelchair people. No CCW for y'all.

1
E-dantes 1 point ago +1 / -0

Kek

2
THELEADERSOFMEN 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah I was wondering about that. E’erone I know had to take a class and get a permit. Maybe Sarah will make us a 2A sanctuary state! :D

2
E-dantes 2 points ago +2 / -0

It used to be interpreted that a journey consisted of travel from one county to another, but our current admin will not, at this time prosecute open carry as long as you don't have illegal intent. Whatever that means. So don't go broadcasting intent to take life prior to defending yourself, maybe?

14
n3IVI0 14 points ago +14 / -0

Missouri has passed legislation that will nullify any federal gun control legislation. We are now a 2A Sanctuary State.

2
notCIA 2 points ago +2 / -0

It is not law yet, fren. Prepare your loins, though.

12

4
TheKokaneeGroper 4 points ago +4 / -0

Surprised Berniemont is on list

2
Logan_W_Logan 2 points ago +2 / -0

They were the first state to have constitutional carry. I think 20 years ago, they were the only one. As liberal as it has become, I think it’s because of the way their state constitution is worded

2
concealedaces 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's because they fear the raith of clanktom and styxhexenhammer

11
Americanapplepie 11 points ago +11 / -0

South Carolina here. We working on it as we speak.

4
Lol_Garrus 4 points ago +4 / -0

We should have been on this list long ago but better late than never.

2
zingo-spleen 2 points ago +2 / -0

And the laws in SC are very strict - way more than you'd expect.

2
BeefyBelisarius 2 points ago +2 / -0

So is Indiana.

1
Specter 1 point ago +1 / -0

You can’t even open carry a pistol. Wtf

10
mylittleredpill 10 points ago +10 / -0

Florida needs to be added to this list post haste. I dont care what all the vacationers coming in from liberal areas say, fuck them and the horses they rode in on. You dont like it? Dont come here. Plently of other places with beaches for you lot to infest and fuck up local traffic.

Open carry needs to happen, and from what I remember (could be wrong here), there was a bill that was introduced recently here to either allow it completely or at least amend it to where you arent hassled for your gun being exposed accidentally (jacket flies open due to wind, etc).

1
unashamed 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, I believe the legislature amended the law to account for momentary exposure so that governments couldn’t slam folks with a crime

TEXAS==> By early 2020, commissioners in over 60 counties — often with the support of the county sheriff — had passed some sort of Second Amendment sanctuary resolution, according to The Texan News.

Back Up Link: https://neonnettle.com/news/13895-gov-abbott-declares-texas-a-second-amendment-sanctuary-

TEXAS==>Governor Abbott Declares Texas a ‘Second Amendment Sanctuary’ January 16, 2021.....Governor Greg Abbott has declared that he wants the entire state of Texas to become a “Second Amendment sanctuary” as anti-gun Democrats seize power in Washington, D.C.

“I want to make sure that Texas becomes a Second Amendment sanctuary state so that no government official at any level can come and take your gun away from you, despite those people who said, ‘Heck yes, we’re going to take your gun,’” Abbott said during the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s 2021 Policy Orientation.

Inability to read matter of fact statement is your shortcoming, not mine. Stay triggered, lefty. No right winger would have gotten that triggered over a joke.

You just responded to a comment pushing a week old.... Self reflexion also seems to be lacking with you.

0

3

Missouri recognizes your right to conceal carry anything defined as a deadly weapon, not just a firearm FYI, so all you weeaboos who need your emergency katanas readily available, come on down!

3

Montana is working on it. Passed the State House

2
TheMontanaKek 2 points ago +2 / -0

All we need is Gianforte to sign it. He's been sitting on the fully passed bill for a week-and-a-half, now. I'm hoping that no fuckery is afoot.

2

Wow I didn't know that. If I had to guess I think he's waiting for the heat to die down on repealing the mask mandate and the resurfacing of the bodyslam audio during the shampeachmint

3

4

2

Update: It passed the committee vote. It has to pass another committee vote before getting a full vote.

2
Coloradowolverine 2 points ago +2 / -0

You can open carry in colorado As long as your not in commie infested denver or boulder

1
unashamed 1 point ago +1 / -0

What’s worse is how the legislature specifically pre-empted local law, but the state courts upheld the Denver ban. Technically, the Boulder ban isn’t enforceable, but does anyone really want to risk an arrest?

2

Meanwhile, in mormonville, UTAH....
