Is the $400 the max or minimum amount you can get or is it in addition to whatever you are approved for like the $600 was? Also how hard is it in general to get unemployment right now? I have recently quit or been fired due to attendance issues not sure if it was job abandonment or not. Anyway I'd like to get a better high paying job but would like to see if unemployment can help me between now and then. I have filed for regular unemployment and waiting for response. Also this would be my first time filing. I was also confused by a lot of the questions on the application. Such as "how many weeks did you earn $300 or whatever" I worked some jobs years but it limited how many weeks I put in so.. I just don't get it. I have a feeling I may have done it wrong.

Its 400 plus your regular unemployment. If you can't beat them join them

Because of Covid all other rules are out. Even people who don’t usually apply can get benefits. At least in California where people from other countries and people in prison were getting approved.
In California you get a max of 450, plus 300 extra per week.
Thank you. I really want to try. It would be a blessing to help me get back on my feet and do better hopefully. I feel that my first application will be denied, I applied for regular benefits, I'm almost certain I will have to apply for the PUA but I'll see hopefully this week.
