I have a lot of sympathy for young people who actually want to work. The feckless young have it easier than the generations before them perhaps, but I think the young who want to do it the right way have a much harder road than their parents or grandparents did. Not to mention that all of the debt they are inheriting came from the generations before them spending way beyond their means.
We are quite rapidly going to reach a point where there simply aren’t enough jobs for a huge chunk of the population. Minimum wage hikes might speed up the switch to robots, but that shit is coming with or without a minimum wage, because in many cases they will just be plain better than a human.
The intent is to inflate away the debt I suppose.
