Figured I'd share with ya'll what you can do in the meantime to start a change. It's what I'm doing. If you're already doing some of this, kudos!

1.) Contact your local Republican headquarters

Stop in. Talk to them. Don't go all MAGA, don't let your intentions be known, or how angry you are at them. This link has been passed around and is helpful: https://theprecinctproject.wordpress.com/

I did this myself last week. The folks running my county are definitely MAGA, but are willfully ignorant about the grassroots movement that is forming. They still think things can be fixed by donating to the GOP. They didn't want any help from me except to go knock on doors and deliver flyers, or volunteer for fund raising events. I'm still feeling this one out as to how I can make my way in. However, this leads me to my next point:

2.) Find local meetups

While visiting the Republican headquarters, I had two people show up, one after the other. The tone in the room changed immediately with the GOP people. The tension became clear.

Turns out, these two people let me in on all the local meetups that are forming. The one in particular meets twice a month and has nearly 100 people show up, and growing fast. No masks required. You have no idea how refreshing it was to meet up in a room full of people without masks and direct our anger/energy towards a purpose.

The other meetup they let me in on is a local business who's running it and coordinating underground with other local businesses in the area to go maskless and fight back through lawsuits. Plenty of other citizens there for various purposes, young and old.

It's rather funny, but evidently these gatherings that are growing in my area have the GOP people stopping by to spy on them. They're definitely nervous.

3.) Buy USA

I have been taking a look at every aspect of my life and what I buy. I am now buying purely from local farms and butchers for everything that I can. I have been able to source Made in USA clothing (materials too) and fitness equipment so far.

Anything I'm used to buying I am now emailing those companies asking if it's produced in the USA, and the origin of the materials, letting them know I am a longtime customer and am repurposing my funds to focus on this effort. This not only helps support local, but lets these companies know there is a growing movement requesting this.

I'm also making it a rule to try and avoid anything out of places like California. Sorry CA, but even if it's Made in the USA and a based business, I can't support my money going there.

If anyone else has any tips, feel free to share!

Yup. Roundhouse Jeans in Shawnee OK has been around since 1903. Jeans/overalls starting at $50 on sale.

Dearborn Denim is in Chicago but I'd give them a pass.
