Silver will have its place, but the elites are the ones that stand to get the most from silver. It is, also, the reason why you see a lot of people pushing for it instead of Gold, Copper, or some other type of metal that is much more decentralized.
Copper and Iron together is the basic for Bronze. Bronze enhanced by Nickle would allow it to have a large monetary value over silver for the fact that it can act as a melted metal for every day use just about.
For instance, it can be used to insulate your house from the elements, be able to make a weapon out of it, can convert to shells or ammo(if you got the equipment), can be converted as a soldiering material for quick patches, and the last part is that it will last a long time & can be made in large amounts negating who can control it.
Silver is definitely valued in everything, but has a much more centralized approach until miners and refiners sell it directly to the people without a lot of hoops which allows for very easy tracking(meaning government just got free money whenever they want to make an excuse to steal it). Bronze enhanced by Nickle would have some of the same issues, but to a far, far lesser degree.
In an era of crypto and defi (look it up, dinosaurs), the need for central banks is disappearing.

Crypto has some great benefits in generating wealth for an individual in a mid term, but mass adoption and moving to crypto as the primary form of currency is a banker's and the government's wet dream.

Well, most countries had a Gold Standard. Hitler refused to get off of it. The UK let their prices float in the depression and eventually the US did similar. The rest of the world was pissed at Germany for being the only major power to maintain its currency relationship to gold.
