And since birds kill mosquitos and also spread seeds it destroys the ecosystem. Look at Biden, destroying the ecosystem and causing Texans to freeze to death.

Bats too. They have pushed some European species to the brink of extinction.

I would like an extensive study done to see what they do to rainfall patterns as well. Farmers in my area swear that since these things went up, rainfall doesn’t make it inside the windmill zone like it use to.

Would be interesting to model their airflow disruption similar to a small mountain range and see what the long term effects will be to our nations bread basket.

If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there'd be a shortage of sand.

Why are they using shovels? It's a work program. Then they should use spoons.

Well, as eyesores they're pretty effective I'd say.

Just like socialism

22
NullifyAndSecede 22 points ago +23 / -1

Socialism is a wonderful idea. It is only as a reality that it has been disastrous. Among people of every race, color, and creed, all around the world, socialism has led to hunger in countries that used to have surplus food to export.... Nevertheless, for many of those who deal primarily in ideas, socialism remains an attractive idea -- in fact, seductive. Its every failure is explained away as due to the inadequacies of particular leaders

And an Inefficient eyesore

My dad bought a smaller one in CA back in the 80's, for the tax break. It was broken more than it ran, it never even paid for itself. He dumped it on a sucker for pennies on the dollar when they ended the tax break.

One of my female friends dated a guy who repaired them. She said that he said it was the best job, in terms of job security, ever, but they didn't pay enough. But there was always work.

They are way out by Amarillo. Amarillo is already an eyesore. Its insult to injury.

10
labajada 10 points ago +10 / -0

I get a lot of tourists from Amarillo in my business. They say "yes sir", don't steal shit, are pro-Trump, and are delighted they don't have to wear a mask in my store (this usually starts the political discussion). It may be the most based city in Texas.

I'm a transplant to Amarillo. I will support your business whether I need your product/service or not

Funny how a pipeline crossing the appalachian trail puts them in a tizzy, but blot out the sky with windmills and they love it.

FireannDireach 9 points ago +10 / -1

Or when you're Ted Kennedy and you block them, because they ruin the view from your multi-million dollar summer home on the island.

Lurch opposed it as well.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/ari-fleischer-john-kerry-climate-change-hypocrisy

I guess environmental stuff is only important when it doesn't affect them. Kerry got called out on it at a climate summit and basically said that he was important enough that it shouldn’t apply to him. What ever happen d to lead by example?

I don't understand how it is environmentally friendly to destroy the landscape with giant, loud, ugly pillars.

Not to mention an earsore. I watched videos of people complaining about the incessant humming; I don't know how they could stand it. I would rather move into an apartment that have to live in a nice house near a turbine.

247MAGA 5 points ago +5 / -0

No joke we looked at a house for sale in amongst those turbines. There was this weird humming that resonated in your body and both my husband and I felt sick and got headaches. We liked the house and property but it was quickly ruled out because of those windmills everywhere.
