In the UK we're spending £328 million over 6 years just to clean up the quality of the energy coming from Wind and Solar. People get lost in the GWh etc but forget without inertia the energy off of a windfarm is quite likely to break your equipment as it's very janky.
I doubt they'll factor that into the "super low cost" of renewable energy.
