Conn. gets 50% of it's power from the Millstone nuclear reactor. You live there, and don't know that? They don't need wind or solar, it's nuke, or nat gas. At least until 2025, when Millstone is up for a renewal on their license.
I was just surprised you didn't know why. I lived near the Conn border and it was a constant topic, from people wanting it shut down, or falling on their fainting couches that it was going to melt down.
Well i knew we were on nuclear and nat gas , i have electricity and heat and see the bills monthly, just didn’t know exactly were it came from or the name of the plant. I live southwest of the Capital, no one talks about that here , not in my circles at least. I just moved back to CT about 7 years ago to help family, i was living in upstate Ny for a decade prior to that . Planning out my 2nd great escape currently 😂
