The cold is blasting through states that vote reliably Republican. They DGAF if those people die, and the media will simply sweep it under the rug as if it never happened.
Massive accidents already, brown outs, and yes, people looking for alternative heat sources...the larger issue it’s in areas were this weather is not normal and people don’t know how to deal nor are the states as prepared...
Happens in the UK all the time. They're only allowed to heat the room that they are in. Unoccupied rooms are not heated. The elderly drop like flies all year round because they can't get adequate air conditioning either.
