Disgraceful. My grandma put all the classics, including Shakespeare, on the top shelves in her library and told us we weren't allowed to read them because they were too grown up and dirty. My siblings and I snuck and read them all, cover to cover. It angers me when any classics are removed from curriculum. But there's more than one way to get kids to read Shakespeare.
"You never lose your time with Shakespeare," said someone I once knew, and he was in the Industry. He directed plays and was southern, descended from famous generals.
“It’s a new version of cancel culture,” said Peter Wood, president of the conservative National Association of Scholars.“ They have little regard for the great books.”
A study last year by the association pinpointed a 1987 march at Stanford University as a turning point in modern education when Democratic activist Jesse Jackson led undergraduates chanting, “Hey, ho, Western Civ has got to go!”
Within a year, Stanford had erased Western civilization requirement for undergraduates. At about the same time, classrooms everywhere began adopting a multicultural agenda hostile toward White male authors, according to the report...."

But let’s teach these kids real life shit. How to build credit, how to open a checking account. How to prepare for the work world and how ppl will treat you. How to prepare and save to buy your first home. When’s a good to time to start a family. Let’s start teaching kids real live shit in schools. Elective classes should be self defense, how to fix shit around your house, wash clothes, load a dishwasher. Just saying since most kids have 1 parent at home and the 1 they probably have is working 3 jobs. Since teachers are so friggin smart and know everything, actually teach the pre-adults some shit they can use in life.

Not in love anymore? Will Gwyneth have to give her Oscar back? Or was that just because she showed boobies on film as Harvey Weinstein required?
