No they didn't, his family released a statement the day after he went brain dead, telling the press to stop using his death to further their political narrative, which the press ignored. Just showing what fucking assholes the media are.

Yes, but he was "killed" by a trump supporter was the narrative they pushed. It's stange that one day after the impeachment results they retracted their story.
