Solar panels can still function when covered in up to a few inches of snow, the half of turbines that aren't frozen are spinning faster because of the wind, big leaps in turbine technology are around the corner but republicans and big oil keep blocking them, renewables are still better than Chernobyl, etc.
Guess you aren't freezing in Texas, and would rather buy energy from countries we give money to, who don't harvest it responsibly like we do, thereby polluting the atmosphere that much more.
