My state is approx. 50% of all power needs form the two nuclear reactors we have. Every time i point that out to lefties who think that huge soar farm they built is some huge source of power they are shocked.
Buy, but, look at all the panels!!!!!!! It has to be more that that eeeeeeeeeeevil nuke plant!
Both of those are excellent. I was able to change a lefty mind about Nuclear power who had made all their decisions based on incidents like Chernobyl of Fukushima. They were very pro-electric car as well.
Once I discussed many of the ways how dangerous and unsafe the Chernobyl plant was and how the newer reactors at Fukushima had little damage due to more modern deigns they began to think about it. I pointed out how the Navy has used nuclear power in subs and carriers for even longer in much more uncertain conditions than the 2 reactors that power 50% of my state since the late 1970's and have never had one major incident. They didn't even realize that one plant and 2 reactors could power half a state.
