Huh, It seemed like more of a windmill and solar panel problem opposed to an actual temperature problem you got to think to yourself some of those power plants got to be pretty hot with all the energy they're creating.
There is a coal plant just north of us that is shut down because the outside piping froze. Coal plants have lots of exterior pipe racks for various things (mostly for emissions) and if they aren’t properly heat traced they’ll freeze up in weather like this.
I really don’t think the windmills are the main problem and I really don’t believe them when they say we set an energy consumption record since most of the houses use natural gas for heat.
How the fuck does coal and fossil fuels freeze when its clearly not a problem.
Because the power plants down here aren’t built to withstand freezing temps.
