I mean it's kind of a regular thing in rock music. There's a couple of things that you have to realize
Not all song lyrics are written from the point of view of the singer. However, even when you write from a different perspective you run the risk picking out what catches your interests. So let's say this is from the perspective of a serial rapist. Bruce. obviously found it interesting that his imaginary criminal could do this to young girls. That's why when you write about being another person you need to be cognizant of what aspects of the act you're showcasing.
Calling young women little girls is a common theme in rock. It doesn't necessarily mean they're into jailbait. Generally yes, it is a thing in rock music to write about young teenage girls. You have to remember though that for the first 2 decades of rock music's existence the main audience were young high school aged people. It's only when that audience got older that it become weird that the singers still wrote about that. Even still a lot of newer band still sing about that but again rock is young people's music.
There are some songs that are just weird. Good Morning Little Schoolgirl which was written by an middle aged black man is weird even by 50's blues standards. I highly recommend getting your 32 year old girlfriend who is 4 years older than you to dress up like a school girl while put on some black face, pretend to creep up on her and start talking like Louis Armstrong before you ball her. It make an old woman feel young again. Hehe. "Yessum. Uhh I's jussa tryna get to da park up da road missus. Yessum." That shit makes 'em go wild.
Haven't you seen the Blues Brothers? That whole bar would have killed them if they didn't play at least one country tune. You need to know how to play at least one song from other acts.
Meh. He's kind of cheesy. Thunder Road's an ok song but other then that I can't say I like his whole output. I'm a musician. I can't be too pick with what I play and listen to or else people in a town won't throw money in the hat.
