16 hours and counting. My entire apt complex has been effected and no one in my family down here has power either. They don't know when it will restored. People on r/Texas are saying it could be DAYS. The last time I checked my meat thermometer it was 50° inside my tiny studui apt. I was able to pack up some milk, bread, lunchmeat, cheese and some condiments into my insulated lunch bags and place them outside my door on my front stoop. I had two sandwiches for dinner and everything was cold but not frozen. I'm a Yankee (Michigan) so I have experience with prolonged power outages in the cold. I'm staying warm by having a quilt thrown over my lap, a wool throw over my shoulders abd my bed comforter over me like a Sith lord hood.
