Where I live I had a neighbor that is a sgt in the King County, Wa sheriffs department. He was a thug. He harassed and terrified all the single women in our area. He followed them in his cop car. The women were too afraid to file a complaint. Finally he tried harassing me and I called Internal Affairs to file a complaint. Unlike Hollywood, Internal Affairs went and asked him, did you do this? He said no. Case closed. Not kidding. Hollywood is the only place you might see an honest cop. Reality is much different
My mom was stalked by a cop. I was punched in the stomach by another cop. Railroaded by an arrogant detective who thought he was elliot ness. Also arrested multiple times for things I didn't do. Im not stupid. I pled out. Thats how it works. More too but like OP says, tip of the iceberg. Also I'm no angel so that just makes it worse
