So Texans have no house insulation and no thick blankets?

Nope, there's coal and gas plants taken offline by the cold weather too. They're a lot more complicated than just "burn coal, get electricity", and if they're not winterized and suddenly have to deal with winter conditions, there's going to be problems.

Canada just had three times colder temperatures. The only thing keeping our asses warm was our gas furnaces. It sure the fuck wasn't greeeeeeeen energy.

I'm just curious what "three times colder" means 😄

Oh yeah, the green electricity stuff absolutely failed too, I'd assume even worse although I don't have any numbers.

Yes, and the preparations weren't made. They cost money and time, and it's probably cheaper for the company to just deal with it when it happens than make any changes when they might not even get winter weather.
