How come Mr. Gaige was not arrested for illegal possession of a firearm (he's a felon) and attempted murder (he clearly stated to his friend the following day that he regretted not being able to "empty his clip" in Kyle?
It's even more benign than that from what I remember before information was getting rearranged and scrubbed. It appears he was charged with a felony but not convicted (from what I recall.). Being charged alone won't pull your rights, it's the conviction that is necessary. That being said, he fully intended on using that gun on Rittenhouse, being deceptive on his intial approach, but came in second place when Kyle seen the gun later aimed at him. That fuck stick was an aggressor and needs to have been charged. I hope Kyle walks and sues the fuck out of that "medic."
There are some pretty well known firearms/personal defense instructors who have weighed in on Kyle's actions in Kenosha. Aside from debates about whether or not Kyle should have been there at all, the only criticism anyone seems to have about how he handled himself is that he didn't put a second round into an attacker who was still standing and holding a gun pointed at him.

I heard that mr. Gaige had his gun rights restored. Was not confirmed 1 way or the other.
