We all know that the Mormon church is MASSIVELY conservative.
But I also remember hearing back in 2017 that not many Mormons from Utah voted for Trump.
And now, after Trump showed for four years that he's incredibly devoted to preserving the American way of life, Mitt Romney, by far the most publicly visible member of the church and who I believe has had family members who are prominent in the church, has voted to impeach Trump.
This makes no sense to me.
I want to know if the church is taking this route as a whole. Is the church gonna be Trump mormons or Romney mormons?
If you're mormon please be spreading the word of Trump's greatness to your mormon friends and family, we need every mind we can get
Do we all know that Mormons are massively conservative? I went to a few Mormon meetups and stuff because a friend of mine was trying to recruit me into Mormonism. I actually found most of these Mormons were more liberal than the average population. Mormons, in an attempt to recruit more people, seemed to have entirely given up any of their inherently conservative aspects of their religion. They remind me of woke modern Catholics. I'm sure there still exists fairly conservative Mormons out there but based on what I saw, I'm not convinced Mormons are massively conservative. I'd need to see some statistics surrounding the whole group.
This. This right here. People blame dominion but Utah voted for Mittens and they love him. Maybe it's just the city folk. Any Mormons from Utah want to comment?
I lost all respect for Mittens after I realized that Trump was the real deal and not at all a fraud like Romney said he was. But I really think it must just be the city folk
Got to be. I've talked to a lot of folks from Utah and they despise Mittens. Of course they were all rural folk, no surprise there. These cities have become a serious problem.
Utah never became real big on cities, it's mostly a rural state. If this is all true, Romney should be losing his seat soon, right? And that's how we'll know which way Utah is going
That's really interesting, all the mormons I ever met were either from California or Utah, and they were all at least anti abortion and anti gay marriage, I can't remember if they loved guns or not.
But fuck. The more I think about it the more I'm thinking you might be right cause it has been more than 10 years since I had any association with the church.
So this might mean that in that time the church has already been altered maybe. It might have something to do with the massive amount of missionary work that they do all over the world.
Fuck mormons, I'm never going back to church
They still oppose gays and abortion typically but those are actually very minor issues in the grand scheme of things. They 100% supported all this woke-ism, anti-racism, egalitarianism stuff. They think the democrats are the good guys and that Donald Trump is a bad man etc... They're easily swept up by the nice sounding words of the democrats and race war. Also, the Mormons I was looking into were discussing how women should be able to become priests because equality for women and it was being taken very seriously as like yeah this is a good idea. Basically the quick first impression I got from the Mormons church I experienced was the people were naive as fuck and had no clue how the people they supported were going to be their very undoing. They supported to social degradation thinking they were being nice and good people because they seemed to be adverse to conflict and overall weak humans. I don't expect Mormons to be around much longer as anything more than a joke from what I saw.
This is really bad news, this whole time here I was thinking the mormons are some of the good guys. I actually really hope you're wrong and that the ones you met were uniquely liberal or something. But that would really explain why Romney voted to impeach Trump.
But I also can't imagine Utah being a state with very few patriots. There's gotta be a big rural population that supports Trump. Maybe the mormon church leadership has also been infiltrated by socialists just like the government
I'm in Canada and these were Canadian Mormons. Still, I think if these Mormons are that way, it's likely an indication of something going on within the Mormon church itself. I'd be weary. I don't think they're as "based" as people think. Romney should most definitely be a clue to people about Mormons. I'd imagine Utah Mormons would be better than Canadian Mormons but I still found these Canadian Mormons more liberal than average Canadians which is very concerning to me. They just seemed overall very naive to the spiritual battle going on and were just too obsessed with trying to be nice and inclusive that they'd be willing to sacrifice almost all their values if it meant avoiding a confrontation and increasing the membership of the church.
