We all know that the Mormon church is MASSIVELY conservative.
But I also remember hearing back in 2017 that not many Mormons from Utah voted for Trump.
And now, after Trump showed for four years that he's incredibly devoted to preserving the American way of life, Mitt Romney, by far the most publicly visible member of the church and who I believe has had family members who are prominent in the church, has voted to impeach Trump.
This makes no sense to me.
I want to know if the church is taking this route as a whole. Is the church gonna be Trump mormons or Romney mormons?
If you're mormon please be spreading the word of Trump's greatness to your mormon friends and family, we need every mind we can get
Yeah mormons do try to be very inclusive and welcoming in general cause they're always trying to convert people. That situation seems pretty complicated to me cause canada is pretty woke (at least that's what I always assumed) but the mormons in canada are also not american and the mormon church is a religion that was started in the US, so they teach conservative values that are from here which I'm guessing are slightly different to Canadian ones (like, I don't think your conservatives talk about guns as much as we do here). Also, mormons in other countries are often converts and so may not have been raised by mormons
