I think you misunderstand, friend. The passage you link is describing how good deeds are a byproduct of faith. Good deeds are not what buys you salvation. Don’t get the cause and effect reversed. See the book of Romans for more on this.

You're the one getting cause and effect reversed. The passage from James quite clearly states "faith without works is dead". Meaning that faith is pointless if works do not go along with them. Christ's very ministry taught us that. He criticized the Pharisees for vain piety, AKA they professed faith but ultimately did nothing else.

You’re not wrong there, but we were talking about salvation. Specially, people doing good deeds to get into heaven. Good deeds are absolutely necessary for a healthy spiritual life and are the natural consequence of real faith. But you don’t buy your way into heaven with them. The blood of Christ paid for our salvation. Nothing we are capable of would be sufficient payment; we are all sinners and we all fall short of earning our way into heaven on our own. God the Father sacrificed His perfect Son for this.
