Only somewhat true and we still a very long way from having battery storage on that kind of scale. Even if we had perfect battery storage wind generators will never return a net positive to the system. Batteries only reduce the margin of loss but that also brings into question the production of the batteries, facilities in which to store them, additional complexity in hooking them up to the power grid.

Downdooting you for being a tiresome shill for stupid stuff and for being argumentative. I have families there who wish Texas still had those three fossil fuel plants online or they wouldn't have spent 3 days in the dark with it 38 degrees inside and no water with very small children. You know where you can put your windmill?

Being argumentative for asking for a source? LOL, you can fuck right off with that bullshit.

I'm not saying wind turbines are the only solution, my point is that fossil fuels are a finite resource and that we have to look for alternative sources of energy. My favorite is nuclear, in particular, liquid fluoride thorium reactors.
